NOTE:

On October 20th an appeal for the following to be sent to Yugoslavia was made:

120 Light machine guns

300 Bren Guns

72 mortars

8 - 10,000 hand grenades

Of surgical requirements:

Field dressings, drugs, medicaments, cotton wool and bandages for 10,000 wounded.

The Chief of the Imperial General Staff promised on October 31st to send urgently:

30 light machine guns

20 Thompson sub-machine guns with appropriate ammunition 90 automatic pistols

1,000 field dressings £10,000 in gold

and then, in the next few weeks: as much as possible of the following material:

50 3" mortars with 100 rounds per gun 100,000 hand grenades

40 Italian revolvers with ammunition

100 Italian L.M. G. s with 500,000 rounds

(or alternatively 100 Schwarzlose 8 mm M. G. s with 5,000 rounds per gun)

300 Thompson sub-machine guns with 600 rounds per gun 1.5 tons of medical stores

Besides that, it was hoped that a submarine would land early in December:

20 Light Machine Guns

26 automatic rifles

20 rifles

35,000 rounds of S.A. Â.
