ANNEXES I & II.
ANNEX I.
Copy of letter from General Ismay
to General de Gaulle, dated
27th November, 1941.
Thank you very much for your letter of the 27th November, about the transportation of a party of Free French Officers, N.C.Os. and specialists to Africa.
I will take this matter up with the Chiefs of Staff at once, and will let you know what can be done. I ought to add, however, that I am literally bombarded with representations of a similar character from all quarters, including our own Government Departments. We are, as you know, terribly short of transport aircraft.
(Signed) H.L. ISMAY.
