SUPPLIES TO GREECE.

Report.

We have considered the Report by the Chairman

of the Committee for the Co-ordination of Allied Supplies on the provision of armaments for Greece and attach for reference a summary of the conclusions reached in the report.

2. We are agreed that adequate supplies to Greece cannot be permanently secured by present methods and that armaments ordered from America cannot arrive in sufficient quantity before the end of the year.

With our present deficiencies it would not be pessible to.. contemplate completely re-arming the Greek forces. By providing the raw materials for such armaments as can be manufactured in Grocce, and by despatching to Greece additional Field and Medium artillery equipments, with adequate ammunition, Greek resistance might be prolonged, though the difficulty of shipping stores rapidly to Greuce from this country still remains.
