APPENDIX V.

The following casualties have occurred to H.M. Auxiliary Patrol Vessels during the week under review :-

23rd January.

Minesweeping Trawler Ronso mined off the South Foreland.

Minesweeping Trawler Courtier damaged by mine off Milford Haven. 25th January.

Minesweeping Trawler Their Merit damaged by a near miss bomb at

Yarmouth, 6 casualties.

26th January.

Minesweeping Trawler Bervie Braes slightly damaged by a mine off

Falmouth.

27th January.

Minesweeping Trawler Darogah mined and sunk in the Thames Estuary. Mine laying drifter Silva was beached near Harwich, having sustained

damage by fouling a wreck.

Casualties to Naval Personnel.

The following casualties have been reported:-

Officers: 1 killed and 12 killed, previously reported missing, 1 missing,

1 wounded.

Ratings: 14 killed, 20 missing, 19 wounded.
