SMALL ARUS À¡LIUNITION FOR HOME FORCES:
The following statement is forwarded for circulation in accordance with Conclusion (b) of Item 1 of C.0.S. (40) 348th Meeting of 14th October:
"After consideration of the various factors involved I estimate that the requirements of .303 S.A, A. for the Field Army in Great Britain for training purposes will be 46,000,000 spread over 4 months November, December, January, February.
This allotment will permit a reasonable scale for firing by all men under my command including the new Infantry Brigades and Young Soldier Battalions.
It does not include I.T.Cs and training establish- ments under the direct control of the War Office.
