6.

It is thought that the Prime Minister will wish

(1) The broad outline plans, including

details of the forces which are to be made available, to render the assistance contemplated in (c) above, and

(ii)

The present state of readiness of these

forces to carry out the operations required.

The Prime Minister will also wish to have a recommendation from the Chiefs of Staff on the project which was mentioned by the Chief of Naval Staff at this morning's Meeting of the Chiefs of Staff Committee.

7. The Meeting tomorrow 21st June is to be held in the Prime Minister's study (NOT the Cabinet Room) at 10 Downing Street. Since the Cabinet Meeting is to take place at 11.30 the Chiefs of Staff will presumably wish to be represented by the Vice Chiefs of Staff at the War Cabinet. The Prime Minister is not attending the War Cabinet tomorrow.

8.

It is suggested that the Chiefs of Staff should meet at 9.30 p.m. tonight in order to reach agreement as to the lines on which their views on both the problems which are to be discussed tomorrow, are to be presented to the Prime Minister.

Richmond Terrace, S.W.1.
