(e) 4 Diesel Herring Fishing Craft each capable of

carrying 60 men for training school and 4 fast motor boats to carry minimum of 12 persons

and 4 skiffs.

100 motor boats similar to the 40 ft. R.A.F.

crash boats with the following specifications:-

(ii)

Carrying capacity 20 and crew,

Spoed loaded, 15 knots.

(iii) Draught not more than 3'6" loaded.

(iv) Endurance 200 miles (additional petrol)

could be carried in tins).

(v) Sea keeping capacity sca of 3.

(vi)

Propellor and rudder as protected as possible

(vii) W/T one in every 3 boats.

(viii) Dinghy is needed in each boat.

(g) Appoint one Commander and one Lieut.-Commander to

the school of Inverailort. It is suggested that Commander Congreve and Lieut.-Commander

Nicholl should be appointed: both were with Brigadier Gubbins in Norway.

"B" Army.

(a) Independent Companies.

10 Independent Companies of about 200 men are needed,

(b) Commandos.

10 Commandos of 500 men are needed.

(c) The following pool of special weapons is

needed for the use of Independent Companies and the Commandos:-

"C" R.A.F.

(a) A parachute training centre should be formed at

once to train parachutists for offensive operations. The location to be decided by the Air Ministry, in consultation with the War Office.
