late deliveries of Spey engines for the aircraft. McDonnell were now
fully aware of the seriousness of the situation and of the lack hitherto
of adequate liaison with Ferranti; they were now sending a senior resident
representative to Ferranti, Edinburgh. No action was open to us as regards damages for late delivery of the navigation attack system, but in prepara- tion for the examination of the case that could be expected in due course by the Public Accounts Committee, a full statement of the facts should be
prepared now.
