meeting. The Economic Secretary to the Treasury introduced the United Kingdom country chapter in a lucid, concise and effective speech, which was obviously heard with keen interest. Mr. William Armstrong of the Treasury led the official delegation with great skill and discretion and it was obvious to me on my arrival that he and his colleagues had established the most cordial relationship with all other delegations, which was maintained and even increased during the Ministerial meeting. I received from many delegations expressions of gratitude for their helpfulness and understanding and I am personally most deeply obliged to them for their co-operation and for the diligence and enthusiasm with which they applied themselves to their novel tasks. I hope that whoever may lead the United Kingdom delegation to the 1956 meeting in New Zealand may have the benefit of the experience gained this year by substantially the same team.
