The work of the Ministerial Commitee will necessarily include the re-assessment of our external commercial policy, with particular regard to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, which was previously assigned to the Cabinet Committee on Commercial Policy. The Prime Minister has therefore decided that this Committee, and the committee of officials which it established, should be discontinued.
