THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE, FISHERIES AND FOOD said that a consignment of feed ingredients imported into the Netherlands had become contaminated with chemicals in the ship which transported them from the Far East. Through criminal

conspiracy, their destruction had been evaded and they had been used to manufacture animal feed which was then sold to a number of Dutch and British farmers. A great deal of rapid work by Ministry staff had enabled the British farms concerned to be identified.
