Camp Equipment and Stores.-The camp equipment, stores, and tools required for use in this section are enumerated in the annexed Schedules XVII (9) and XVIII (9). All the articles are kept separate by the Senior Ordnance Store Officer, ready for immediate issue, and on mobilization will be sent direct to the head-quarters of the section by means of transport to be provided by the Officer Commanding Army Service Corps, without requisition.
The Section Commander will receive the stores on the ground, and will sign the customary receipt vouchers.
A reinforcement of gunners could Reinforcement in case of Attack probably only be obtained from Sections I and II, and that only if the Western Entrance is not simultaneously attacked. It would take about 13 hours to obtain such reinforcement.
Infantry reinforcements with light artillery might be obtained from the Victoria and Kowloon Reserves in about half that time, the latter by sea, the former by sea or road.
Communications.-There is direct communication by sea with both Reserves, with Stonecutter's Island, and indirectly with all the other sections. A good wide metalled road also communicates with Victoria.
There is a winding but good path communicating from Shaukiwan to Sywan, and to the heads of the Tytam and Collinson Gaps, but direct communi- cation from the forts and barracks to this road does not exist, and is much required.
