Positions and Numbers of Signal Stations.
The Naval War Signal Stations are also the Port War Signal Stations.
Eastern Entrance.—(a.) Cape D'Aguilar, at the eastern entrance, is on the site of the old R.T. Signal Station.
It is the extreme east point of the island, and is reached by a path from Aldrich Bay via Tytam Gap.
Western Entrance.-(b.) The Victoria Peak Signal Station is on the summit of the island, and is in general use in peace. It is reached by road and tram.
(c.) The Jubilee Signal Post is on the extreme west point of the island. It is reached by tram to the end of Jubilee Road and then by road.
(d.) The Main Signal Station is established at the Commodore's Office in the Dockyard.
Commercial Signal Stations.
Gap Rock Signal Station (in Chinese territory) is connected by telephone to the Harbour Office and by wire to the Central Telegraph Station. It cannot be used for purposes of war, but news would in all probability filter through.
Waglan Signal Station is similarly connected by wire to Hong Kong, and can also signal by International Code to D'Aguilar.
On the order of the Colonial Harbour Master these two stations will warn all incoming traffic that the Examination Service is in force (vide paragraph 10, Hong Kong Traffic Regulations in War Time).
Establishment and Operation of the Port War Signal Stations.
Of the three port war signal stations all are permanent buildings, Victoria Peak being in constant occupation.
D'Aguilar is a permanent building with a small caretaking party.
Jubilee Signal Post has a small house for the telephone, flags, &c., and tent or matshed accommodation will be provided for the signalmen.
Imat
The operation of the stations on the precautionary stage being reached will be---
(a.) Victoria Peak receives two more signal ratings from "Tamar" and their confidential instructions laid down in Appendix (A).
(b.) "Tamar" will send out the necessary ratings for Cape D'Aguilar with their confidential instructions laid down in Appendix (A).
(c.) "Tamar" will send the necessary ratings to Jubilee Signal Post with their confidential instructions laid down in Appendix (A).
(d.) The A.N.I.O. will be placed in charge of Victoria Peak Signal Station.

(e.) The telephonic communications at all the stations are tested and reported by the Signal Officer to the Commodore, who will cause the Fortress Commander, Harbour Office, and Chief Examining Officer to be informed.
