1. In peace time a proportion of the tools and materials for defence works are kept at the headquarters of each section and fire command, and the staff officer, R.E. keeps nominal rolls of the officers and men, R. E., allotted to sections, fire commands, and reserve, and working plans of all field defences, communications, &c., which are to be constructed on mobilization, with necessary information as to tools and working parties required.
2. Copies of the above are in possession of the Officer Commanding Royal Engineer detachment in each section and fire command, for the use of the section and fire commanders.
