The escorts should be warned not to allow any coolies to desert, and they will be in charge of the coolies until taken over by the Staff Officer of the section, or, in the case of fort detachments, until orders are received from the O.C. the section of defence as to their disposal.
6. All baggage should be stored in front of barrack rooms separately by detachments, proceeding to the different sections of the defence under the charge of the escort detailed in the preceding paragraph, ready for removal on arrival of coolies. Every care should be taken that the baggage does not get mixed.
7. All detachments for the forts will parade at o'clock (to-morrow morning) in front of their barrack rooms, and will proceed to their sections as under, complete as regards equipment, ammunition, tools, and stores, moving in the order named :-
No. I Section, Stonecutters (Belcher)-
By route march to Kowloon Police and A.S.C. Piers, thence by launch to destination. Fort detachments by route march to Police and Blake Piers, thence by launch to piers nearest destination.
No. III Section, Lyemun-
Fort detachments by route march to Kowloon Police Pier and Blake Pier,
thence by launch and route march to destination.
No. IV Section, Kowloon--
H.K.S.B., R.G. A., for the Kowloon forts by route march to their forts.
For
North Point by route march to Police Pier, thence by launch to destination.
Detachments told off to movable armament will parade with their guns completely equipped at an hour to be notified later.
8. Os.C. detachments will report their arrival to the O.C. the section of defence, and take his orders as to their disposal.
9. All men on guard who have been detailed to sections of defence will be at once relieved by men of the reserve. All men on regimental employ will join their detach- ments, being relieved under arrangements made by the Adjutant.
10. A permanent guard of 2 n.c.os. and 12 men will be detailed from the reserve for the protection of barracks and stores left behind.
11. Arrangements will be made by the F.C. in conjunction with the several B.Cs. in each R.A. unit, under the guidance of the O.C.R.A. units, for keeping a look out for the enemy's ships and torpedo-boats, and for rapidly transmitting intelligence as to the same as directed.

12. As soon as his command is manned each B.C. will forward in a marching-in report for his command to his F.C., who will forward the same (including a return of their staffs) to the O.C. his section of the defence.
13. During the period of mobilization F.Cs. and B.Cs. will be guided by the instructions laid down in their text-books and by the fort record book's information.
14. All canteens and institutes will be closed.
15. Reserve. Reserve of R.G.A. under command of the Adjutant will be quartered at Victoria Barracks, Hong Kong, and the reserve of the H.K.S.B., R.G.Á., under command of the senior C.Q.M.S., in the absence of a British or native officer, at Gun Club Hill. The senior officer i/c is to detail what guard he may require to look after stores or baggage that may be left behind them, and report the same to the C.R.A's. office.
16. The movements of guns of movable armament will be commenced at once, and will be carried out as follows:--
Guns assigned to positions in Nos. II and III Sections by the detachments assisted by R.G.A. reserve and coolies provided by O.C.A.S.C.
