44. Page 118 (1), paragraph 10, and page 120 (4), paragraphs 3, 4, 5, and 6. These paragraphs will require modification in view of the alteration in procedure consequent upon the Admiralty having accepted the responsibility for carrying out the examination service at Hong Kong.
45. Page 119 (3)-Action by Treasurer.--Attention is drawn to paragraph 35 of Colonial Defence Committee's Remarks No. 396 R on the Defence Scheme revised to June 1905, in which it was pointed out that the proposed arrangement for charging certain expenditure of the Treasurer under the Defence Scheme against the Admiralty and War Department was not approved.
The arrangement approved by the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury is that the military and civil authorities shall make disbursements for the services administered respectively by them, without prejudice to the final adjustment between the Imperial and Colonial Governments at the conclusion of the war.
This portion of the Defence Scheme should accordingly be amended in the next revision.
46. Page 121 (6)—Action by P.C.M.O., paragraph 2 (2).—Now that the estimate of the number of sick and wounded from the fleet who will have to be treated at Hong Kong has been reduced, the references to the taking over and equipping of the Peak Hotel as a hospital may be omitted, and the distribution of the medical and nursing staff available should be correspondingly rearranged.

48. Maps.-Armament Map to illustrate Defence Scheme.--The examination lines should be deleted, and the examination anchorages should be marked as shown on Admiralty Chart No. 1466.
