MINUTE PAPER.

Unai Breakwater Refrige

We changed Six. J. Hennessy, with long delay as to the's work and little giving sufficient information in 124 13.

As regards to it He pointed out that he gave an account of it in his despatch of 29 April last being the Blue Book Report: It is quite true that he did so, was overlooked.

I am sorry it was. At the same time it is not business to let a word stand over for 3 years without explaining it. He puts the blame on M. Price. & then in the Blue Book what of the delay. I regret that the despatch of 29 April was overlooked. I ask for further report on the Refrige.

Amandis... the whole of the delay need not have been. I am glad to find that the Council invested surplus funds £21000 to £26000 in 11.1880. So the money has not been idly kept. No more need be said on this point in 1881.

In his despatch Sie. J. Hennessy has not alluded to the registrou queral and the head of interpreters. The Administrator should be authorised to check whether the instructions given respecting these two offices have been carried out, being especially referred to.
