My report upon your application would state that the presence of the document in question was really nothing more than a repetition of the main fact that you are aware of communicated on the 20th October to Les Johnson.

I should have to add that the only approach to anything of an official character in the matter is that you showed me a letter from your legal adviser, W Trummond, in which it was said that W L Kayllar had informed St Trummond that his action against my Private Secretary was to be brought on for the purpose of creating scandal and annoyance during the approaching visit of the Queen's Grandsons to Government House; and some days later J et Trummond informed me that his instructions from you were to tender his assistance to W Kayllar in bringing this scandalous action unless I signed a certain letter addressed to you; which letter, after some objectionable paragraph was struck out and a few words added about my prompt communication to St Johnson, I signed, not on account of Drummond's threat.
