Dr. Eitel to the Private Secretary -
6 January 1887.
Whilst reserving a reply to your letter of this date for a separate occasion, I beg at once to desire to explain to the Governor that my object in asking for an interview was solely to ask His Excellency if he intends to carry out his promise to pay the bill I forwarded to him with a letter on 9th December and regarding which I wrote to His Excellency again on 31st December last.
Hoping that His Excellency will favour me with a reply to those two letters which have hitherto remained unanswered, I have the honour to be Sir, Your obedient Servant,
E. J. Eitel
To the Private Secretary, Government House.
