The humble petition of the said Thomas Child Hayllar the above-named plaintiff
The Plaintiff is a member of the Honorable Society of the Inner Temple and is a Barrister at Law of 20 years standing. He has been admitted and enrolled and was at the time of the writing of the grievances hereinafter mentioned and still is a member of the bar in the Colony and he then was and still is in and for this Colony, one of Her Majesty's Counsel learned in the law.
The Defendant is a Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Gottingen and at the time of the committing of the grievances hereinafter mentioned was and he still is employed in the service of this Colony as Inspector of Schools and as Private Secretary to His Excellency the Governor of this Colony.
