There was at the time drawing aggregate emoluments. Is there particular last year, only special reasons, apart from what took place, which make me most reluctant to return to my first thing. I would venture to ask if there is a bare chance of such a thing being possible that if occasion arose for any special work, such as the appointment of a Commission on which a Secretary might be required, or any other work of a temporary character in which I might be seconded, it would be taken into consideration.
