I believe that I am the first Chief Clerk since the Court was established on Hong Kong in 1843 who has had to be aware of the arrangement of pension to be given to him fixed

I now return Paper formed under the Act of 1859 inclosing the Pension which has been forwarded to me under Cover by the latter of the 7th of June last. In Compliance with the Directions I have filled it in to the best of my ability.

My period of service although now on leave shall have expired so nearly 21 years that I hope that period will be accepted as my service in the front of
