Lord Kimberley

with the Government Commissioners of the

Treasury in thinking

that the ordinance

of 1866 establishing

the Bank had been

carefully

drawn out,

but require, should be

repeated, and

a new

one passed embodying

much new

provision

as may be determined

upon. Lord Kimberley

also thinks that it

will be desirable that

the branches of

the Bank in

the Straits Settlements

should be managed accordingly.
