For
Article 2 of the Peking Treaty provides for the surrender of Chinese Remains upon due acquisition by the Chinese Authorities and upon proof of their identity. Ordinance 2 of 1858, provides the powers required for carrying out this agreement. Assuming that these are Chinese Remains whose identity is proved and for whose surrender, due requisition has been made within the meaning of the Treaty and within the meaning of the Ordinance, the Treaty requires that they should be surrendered and the Ordinance provides the authority to surrender them, and the fear that the
