I have received a Despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong, forwarding a letter, a copy of which is enclosed, addressed to me by the Chairman of the Hongkong Chamber of Commerce, with other papers, copies of which are subjoined, respecting the alleged ill-treatment in Sydney, during June and July last year, of certain Chinese passengers from Hing King.

A copy of a Despatch on this subject, which I have addressed to the Governor of New South Wales, is also enclosed for your information, and a copy of the despatch of Your Lordship to the Governor of N.S. Wales.
