I beg respectfully to

request

that you will kindly

recommend to His Excellency the Governor that I may

be allowed to remit to England by

the next mail (2nd instant) the sum of $200

to assist a female member of my

family to join me in Hongkong,

she being in delicate health and partly

dependent on me for support. I beg

to request that I may become a

regular remitter to assist in supporting my

parents, remittance not to exceed half

my Salary.
