Queign marker B, and as we understand the number of Officers and constables (141) to be accommodated and the proposed building cannot be reduced, and as the Barrack rooms provide but barely sufficient cubical space for the men to contain, we are unable to suggest any diminution of the proposed building. The Acting Surveyor General stating on his part that he is unable to reduce it's estimated cost without using materials of inferior quality.
We therefore beg most respectfully to recommend that the building may be carried out in accordance with Design B at the estimated cost of $41,000 exclusive of the boat-sheds, Shelters for guns &c. as the site is an exposed one and the workmanship must be of the best quality.
We have &c.
