of Schools may devise. But for the purposes of practical training it is requisite to combine with the Normal School and to place under the direct Elementary control of the Principal an Anglo-Chinese Government School - The Normal School shall therefore, for the present, be amalgamated with the present government school at Hautsai,
and to afford room in that building for the Normal School, the Chinese classes of the present school and the Chinese Master's Quarters shall be provisionally accommodated in an adjoining house to be rented for the purpose, until a more suitable building for the Normal School is erected in a more central portion of the town.
5. All other classes can be arranged subsequently as occasion demands, subject to the approval of the Government, the Normal School being treated as a branch of the Education Department and subject to the general supervision and annual Examination of the Inspector of Schools.
6. On the above scheme the Normal School will require the following outlay: -
Salary of Principal. Per Mensem. $200 Salary of Chinese Assistant Master. $40 Stipends of 10 Students or Probationers. $30 Principal's allowance for house rent. $30 Rent for Chinese Classroom. $7 Total of monthly payments $307
