6. New Iron Telegraph poles.
This provides for the purchase and freight from England of 6300 wrought iron telegraph poles and 850 insulators including transport and fixing in Colony to replace one half the present wooden telegraph posts, the cast other half to be provided in the Colonial Estimates for 1883 - vide C.S.O. 833.
Completing new Water Police Station. This provides for completing the proposed water Police Station including Boat-sheds, stones, slip for launches etc. total estimated cost being $50,000.- vide C.S.O. 2092 my report. It is assumed that $10,000 provided in the estimates for 1887 will be expended during the current year leaving the balance of $35,000 ectionated for construction to be provided next year.
