I have the honour to apply
through you
to His Excellency the
Governor for an allowance for two Chair Carries during the summer months, say to the 30th of November.
As a great part of my duties consist in visiting stations and all parts of the town in the day time, I find it impossible to walk about in the heat without injury to my health unless I comply with a chair.
