With regard to Light, Gas has been introduced into the Colony since 1865,
and
this
has made
a
per cent
per year
the Gas Company have
made a reduction of about twelve
per cent on their former prices.

Articles of British and European produce can be readily obtained from England either through a
Cooperative Society or through Army
and other
Agents,
and
Provision Dealers. If
an
Officer
is able to draw his pay in England
he
can supply himself
in Sterling with British and
European Produce
much more economically by paying for it at home and ordering it to be
sent out to him than by buying in the Colony
