Public Walks

Given in M. Tonnody's despatch no 45 of the 17th of October that the World is already in the process of construction. The long delay which has occurred in connexion with this work and the omission to permit sufficient information

I am compelled to observe that I am not satisfied with the information which has been furnished to the Secretary of State in regard to it, and only one out of many instances of the unsatisfactory manner in which the Public Works of the Colony have been of late dealt with.

14. Under Miscellaneous Occurs a vote of $1000 for Subscription to Reuter's Telegram. I find that an explanation of similar votes has been asked for in two distinct dispatches and apparently never given.
