I regret to have to remind you that the despatch which was addressed to you on the subject of the current estimates for last year remains to be replied to.
Like many other despatches, it is another instance of what has been unsatisfactory in the correspondence between the Governor and the Secretary of State, which has been conducted in a manner that has been unsatisfactory for some time.
This point has more than once been impressed upon you.
I am glad to find that the revenue for the coming year is estimated at a higher figure than that for the last year.
The only item to which I need refer is that of Premium by Purchases under the heading Land Revenue, which is estimated at $15,500.
