1. You will observe that Yesterday's China mail professes to give a version of an interview you had with the Governor respecting your application for this Excellency's permission to take legal proceedings against the Hongkong Telegraph.
2. The Governor communicated the substance of what passed to the Members of the Executive Council only.
3. I am to invite you to make any observations you think proper on the version of the interview published.
