I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your 31st ultimo informing the Governor that the number (400) that appeared on the form submitted to him on the 21st April, and on which he wrote his minute of that date has since been altered to 839 which alteration is initialled by Fds Frederick Stewart Acting Colonial Secretary, but not dated.
You are to point out this irregularity to me and to ask for the purpose of proper Official record to note the date of the alteration
