Emigrants. If it is to be done.

In the manner in which Dr. E. I. A. conducted his examination.

of the "Glamis Castle's" Emigrants yesterday, emigration from this Colony will be brought to an end, as it took hours to examine 400 emigrants.

To the Honorable the Harbor Master,

In conclusion, I shall be glad to be instructed as to whether the examination of Emigrants is to take place before sailing, in the case of all ships, wherever they are bound, or, if the order under reply is only to apply to vessels bound for the Australian Colonies, as whatever change is introduced, it will be my duty, in the interests of the Community engaged in Emigration, to apprise them of it.
