Harbour Department - Hong Kong 31 December 1890

I have the honor to enclose a copy of a letter (4) I have received from Her Britannic Majesty's Agent and Consul General at Bangkok regarding the alleged abduction from Hong Kong of three girls who, it is stated, had been taken to Bangkok by the British Steamer Janube.

2. The girls were brought back to Hong Kong by the British Steamship Rajapattaniuhar on the 28th instant and arrived here.

I have examined the master of this ship (copy of statement enclosed, marked B). And it will be seen that the girls were unwilling to leave Bangkok, alleging that their mother was here.
