I have the honour to inform you,
in reply to your letter
that the Agents of the Steamship "Thales"
have chartered the "Frisco" to convey Geo.
A. Revons and others connected
with the despatch of
emigrants to Australia.
The Chinese emigrants brought their
Barrage tickets themselves, on the 3rd instant, to be examined
by him. The Barrage
Register accompanying
the emigrants.
Of the alleged irregularities
in issuing Barrage tickets, it was not my duty
to call for such
documents,
consequently I did not require them as required by His Excellency.
