2. Mr. Falconer the second must have applied for the place, but as he has not received a university education, it would probably be desirable to appoint a gentleman here, or a new one from this country, the qualification in question possessing the certainty.
3. Lord Belper would therefore be glad if you would find and recommend to his Lordship the name of any suitable man educated at one of the Universities who should be selected not only as being in your opinion fitted for the post.
