A small number of cheap American reprints of British Authors, as well as the Tauchnitz editions, are sold here; but there is extremely little publication or republication of literary or scientific works in Hong Kong.

As far as this colony has any interest, at present, in the question, I believe the proposed Copyright Act would give all the protection needed.

A copyright convention with China might be, ultimately, of importance.
