Senior Licentiate, Schöner's Accessory, national tribunal. Yang Chawksiary, Military Licentiate and Reschonew's uterine brother, Yang Stsin Kuan were, on the 20th day of the 10th moon last year (Nov. 22, 1888) murdered, by Actor's grand-father's nephews Yang Yongkang, Yang Po-machins, and others, to the number of twenty villagers; and further that Petitioner's brother Yang Steur-chang was seriously wounded; that, on the Magistrate's being applied to to examine into the case, he found over thirty wounds. The Coroner's report was duly entered in the books and rewards were offered for the arrest of the murderers. The case was taken before the Prefect, the Provincial Judge, the Viceroy, and the Governor; the Petitioners' class, following up a clue, served as guides to some British soldiers who, on the 24th day of the 10th month last year (Nov. 26, 1888) arrested thirteen of the murderers at a place called String Haw, and brought them down to the Governor.
