As Mr W Bughtrie's later say seen to be directed rather to personal abuse of the Surveyor General than to the production of fresh evidence, I need not comment upon it, but will simply once more call attention to the extreme simplicity of the question as narrowed down by the Governor in his letter to the Governor of the 3rd of October 1878.
