From the Acting Colonial Secretary, Arnotiong,
to the Colonial Secretary, Sydney.
Hongkong, 20th June, 1881.
Health Office reports Hongkong free
from any epidemic of infectious
contagious disease, and that out of 3,585
Chinese he examined this month as
Emigrants
one
was
suffering from
small-pox. The Governor, therefore,
hopes that Quarantine will not be
enforced against Hongkong.
