an almshouse as you suggest,
and am decidedly of opinion
its consideration should
at any
rate be deferred
awaiting the completion of
the
many
Public Works
in the Colony which
are yet unfinished.
3. The Civil hospital
is, as I understand,
open
to
any
Chinese who may
choose to make use
of it, and with regard
to
the new
Lunatic Asylum
(as to the
progress of which I should
be glad to have some
information)
it will
of course
take in
patients of all races
