Bank regarding the issue of one dollar notes, I have the honour to enclose, for Your Lordship's information, the reply referred to, by which the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank Corporation, in the event of permission being given to them to open a Branch at Singapore, undertake to withdraw their one dollar notes from circulation if the Government decide to issue one dollar notes.
