We have evidence before us that all the items mentioned by Off. Freire have been paid over to B.N. Henna, with the exception of the first item (Bill H. for $22), there is evidence in Off. Henna's own handwriting that he received all the amounts.
The Book which contains Off. Henna's receipt commences in March, 1879; before which date the Compradore had not been in the habit of getting Off. Henna's receipt for the amounts handed over. There is oral evidence however that Ans. Henna received the $22; and, as he has himself acknowledged that all unsettled accounts were passed into the Book kept,
