The Governor has received an application from Sir J. P. Hennessy for 300 Chinese stone masons and carpenters for 18 months' service in Hong Kong (similar application having been made from Colonies for English workmen) with an application for contract emigrant laborers, and regards it with caution & suspicion. I think this should have been registered under "Emigration."
