have come into his hands.

In his letter of the 20th of September to the Crown Agents of the Colonies Mr Thomson refers to the working of the Bond and to extracts from Mr Gibbons Letter.

I am unable to comply with His Excellency's request without the words of the Bond and without the extract from Mr Gibbons Letter on which Mr Thomson founds his complaint.

I have the honor to request that the Bond be lent to me by the Audit, with His Excellency's sanction. An application will have to be made to Mr Gibbons for a copy of his letter to Mr Thomson.

(signed) J. Stewart, Acting Colonial Secretary 15th December 1890.

If these particulars be furnished to me I will do my best to comply with His Excellency's request.

I have (signed) John Smale, Chief Justice.
