I get exhausted and for hearing, remain for many still and I have even directions that sheep shall be given to be heard in Chambers, which order the Registrar thinks fit to disobey, I should like to know what further proof of subordination can be wanting. All puts a stop to public business as the Gibbons admits all personal objections to attendance.
I am now removed by his instructions, he is called upon to attend the Court or the Judges in Chambers as well as by the long established rules of the Court in whatever capacity he may be for the time acting. He now chooses to disobey the positive order of the Court in the face of a publicly-expressed decision that the Judges may take certain business in Chambers if they please, and sets up beyond defiance of opinion.
The Judges who alone are responsible for the conduct of business so far as directions for the hearing are concerned. Such was the case before, and the H.C. is the only source of effective interference left. I have done all I can to remove difficulties - but without sacrificing the Authority of the Judges.
