I beg to submit this public utterance by Mr Gibbous the Registrar to the consideration of His Excellency the Governor. I rest satisfied that His Excellency will take such steps on the matter as so grave a public scandal may require.

The subject being fully considered it is unanimously resolved that a letter be written by the Colonial Secretary to Mr. Gibbous Registrar of the Supreme Court informing him that the Chief Justice has called the attention of the Governor to the report in the "Whig mail" of the 21st instant of some alleged observations to be made by Mr Gibbous and enquiring whether the Report is substantially correct and if so what explanations he has to offer for publicly making such statement:
